I grew up in Kailua, beginning school at Lanikai Elementary. (I think the “temporary buildings they put up in the late ‘60s” were still there a few years ago!)
Went to the mainland for college, law school and some jobs, but came home as soon as I could.
I raised two children in Kailua, beginning their school at Aikahi Elementary.
My husband and I recently started a small farm business in Waimanalo.
I’ve spent decades working and volunteering in Hawaii, including running small businesses and managing a large government department.
